Big win for Open Source – Linux

SCO finally got put in it’s place. The “Linux” company that has lawsuits as it main source of income and business model. Have they actually made any money from selling anything? If thye have, it’s minimal.

A federal judge in Utah ruled that Novell actually has rights to the Unix kernel that SCO is suing IBM over. Furthermore, the judge went a step beyond the ruling by stating that Novell could actually force SCO to drop the suit against IBM for on UNIX copyright issues.

A great ruling for the open source community in general.
